Hillsborough’s Mayor’s Wellness Program Presents “Yoga by the Pond”
Hillsborough residents are invited to “de-stress” with a series of six free yoga classes
Hillsborough residents who are looking for a way to unwind and de-stress are invited to attend a series of six free yoga classes. “Yoga by the Pond,” a Mayor’s Wellness Program initiative, will take place at Ann Van Middlesworth Park in May and June.
The program is being sponsored by the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute's Community Mental Health Grant. “The series of six free yoga classes offer the perfect opportunity to learn various yoga techniques while enjoying the view of the Ann Van Middlesworth Park pond,” said Mayor Robert Britting at Tuesday’s Township Committee meeting. “And yoga mats will provided for the first 20 registrants for each class.”
Dates are as follows:
● Family Yoga - Saturday, May 4th, at 10 am and June 22nd at 10 am
● 65+ Gentle Yoga - Friday, May 10th, at 6:30 pm
● Yoga para todos (Spanish/English) - Saturday, May 18th, at 10 am
● Reaching for Recovery (Open to families in recovery) - Saturday, June 1st at 10 am
● Red, White & Blue Veterans - Saturday, June 8th at 10 am
The Township Committee and Community partners will also attend to provide valuable resources.
