The Public Works Department is very excited to have the opportunity to highlight the importance of litter abatement with a festive community event to be held on Saturday, November 12th. Littercon is a township-wide litter cleanup that is held in preparation for the upcoming Holidays. Participants earn valuable volunteer hours and receive coupons to eat for free at participating local restaurants.
Volunteers often dress in holiday costumes such as Santa, elves, or the Grinch, presenting a festive and lively atmosphere as they pick up litter around the community. Littercon is targeted to get everyone involved in making our community shine.
Registration is available through Public Works and litter cleanup kits will be distributed to volunteers before the event. If you previously registered and already have a kit, bring that along and get ready to clean Hillsborough, one wrapper at a time!
