Final Engineering Inspections During Winter Months

The Engineering Department would like to provide information about final engineering inspections in the winter months. If residential work such as additions, driveways, in-ground pools, etc., are in the process of being constructed, it is recommended that the site work be completed before the ground becomes snow-covered. A site inspection cannot be conducted if the area is covered with snow

If a resident requires a certificate of occupancy and the final site inspection must take place in the presence of snow, the Engineering Department may be able to issue a temporary certificate with a cash escrow deposit. In the spring, once site work can be verified, the cash escrow can be returned and a permanent certificate of occupancy can be issued.
