Winter Reminders from the Public Works Department

The Public Works Department would like to share a few important reminders regarding the winter snow plowing operations as the temperatures may get colder as we move toward February. Some simple safety measures can make a big difference, especially in the event of a snowstorm.

Basketball hoops should not be placed in the street or left along the curb line as they can present a hazard to our vehicles. Most of the time they are portable and can be moved to a safer spot quickly.

Please place your recycling buckets and garbage cans behind the curb or at the end of your driveway and NOT in the roadway for obvious reasons.

Most of all, please move your car out of the roadway before a snowstorm. Let the crews do their job and clear the roads, then the car can be placed back into the street.
