Alzheimer's and Brain Health Awareness Month

There are more than 7 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s. That is 1 in 9 people age 65 and older!  Nearly 12 million Americans provide unpaid care for people with Alzheimer’s.

The signs of Alzheimer’s include:

  • Memory loss that disrupts daily life
  • Challenges in planning and solving problems
  • Difficulty in completing familiar tasks
  • Confusion with time or place
  • Trouble understanding visual images
  • New problems with words
  • Misplacing things, inability to retrace steps
  • Decreased or poor judgment
  • Withdrawal from work or social activities
  • Changes in mood or personality.

With this in mind, it becomes even more important to be mindful of our brain health.
