Township policy requires property owners to conduct or hire engineering testing agencies for soil, water, wetlands, floodplain, or similar testing to obtain a Township Engineering Permit. Usually, these companies require access routes into largely wooded areas. Due to the new NJDEP mandates, the Township must now monitor these routes to determine if any trees over 6” caliper or more are being removed. See the Engineering website for more details.
