Hillsborough Township is pleased to announce that on May 1st, Somerset County officially closed on the 402-acre Hillsborough Golf & Country Club from the estate of Bryce Thompson IV. Hillsborough Township joined Somerset County and New Jersey Green Acres by contributing $1,450,000 from its Open Space Trust Fund, approximately 20 percent of the total cost. The County will soon invite the public to provide input on a master plan to guide the passive development, restoration, and use of the property, including potential uses for the existing buildings.
