Township Committee Honors Graduating Seniors of the Hillsborough Township School District Class of 2020

At the July 14th meeting, the Township Committee honored the Hillsborough Township School District Class of 2020.  June is traditionally the month when high school graduations occur. The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the Hillsborough Township School District converting  to an online learning environment in March 2020.

As a result of COVID19, these students have given up so many milestone events that make high school memorable including: sports seasons, theatrical performances, concerts, club activities, prom, spirit night and graduation ceremonies.  Throughout it all, 596  students graduated in the Hillsborough High School and Somerset County Vocational and Technical High School Class of 2020.  They worked hard during these challenging times and completed the necessary requirements to graduate. The Senior Class of 2020 has demonstrated tremendous resilience, hard work and fortitude despite this challenge.

“The Township Committee congratulates and honors all the graduating seniors of the Hillsborough Township School District Class of 2020,” said Mayor Doug Tomson.  “We recognize the graduating seniors on this important milestone in their lives and wish them great success  in their future endeavors,” added Mayor Tomson.
