Hillsborough Community Assistance Network (C.A.N.) food bank Thanks Community

The Hillsborough Township Community Assistance Network food bank would like to take this opportunity to thank the individuals, area businesses, churches, schools and organizations that have made donations to the township’s food bank.

Over the course of the pandemic many people, groups and businesses helped the township’s food bank, known as the Hillsborough Township Community Assistance Network, or C.A.N., meet the rising needs of those in our town experiencing food insecurity, some for the first time in their lives.

“We can’t thank the community enough for stepping up and showing their support for those in need in tangible ways” said Robert Wagner, Director of Parks, Recreation and Social Services.  “The community rallied at the most critical time with food drives, fund-raisers and an increase in individual efforts.  Many thanks go out to those that donated food, including high demand items such as cleaning products and toilet paper, paper towels, as well as money.”

Donations may be dropped off at the Social Services office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  For your convenience, a shopping cart is available for contactless drop-off near the wooden gazebo located behind the municipal building.  Please park behind the library and look for the shopping cart on the sidewalk, near the gazebo.  Call the Social Services Department at 908-369-3880 if you have any questions.
