C.A.N Updates

Hillsborough High School Softball and Baseball Teams together with the Raider Baseball Diamond Club organized a collection of canned goods and other pantry items to benefit the Hillsborough Township Community Assistance Network (C.A.N.) food pantry that serves Hillsborough residents who are experiencing food insecurity. “Can of Corn”, a baseball term used to describe a fly ball hit to the outfield that is easy to catch, proves to be an apt description of the success of the team’s efforts.

Girl Scout Daisy Troop 61020 also collected food bank items to benefit the C.A.N. food pantry. Daisies are the first level of girl scouts and include girls in Kindergarten through First Grade. Thank you to Daisy Troop 61020 for helping to make a wonderful contribution to the C.A.N.

The Hillsborough Township Community Assistance Network (C.A.N) would like to remind residents that if they, or anyone they know are experiencing financial difficulties, to please contact the Social Services office at 908-369-3880.

The program administers the Township Food Bank, and provides resources and guidance for additional assistance.
