Municipal Alliance Update

The Municipal Alliance participated in a site visit with the County, which was held virtually on July 8th.  The annual site visit is a requirement of the grant and it is an opportunity for the county to review all requirements of the grant with the Executive Committee.  Some of the requirements include: hosting public meetings on a monthly basis, having all sectors of the community represented, accurate and timely financial reporting, program evaluations and attendance at county trainings.  The Municipal Alliance had to adjust the original plan due to a substantial reduction in funding, as well as the changes necessary due to covid restrictions.

The Somerset County Alliance Coordinator gave the Hillsborough/Millstone Municipal Alliance a good report and stated there are no follow ups needed.  The Municipal Alliance looks forward to another successful year working to raise awareness and educate the community on the dangers of alcohol and drug addiction.
