Recreation Department Announces Halloween Festivities

The Hillsborough Parks & Recreation will have no shortage of Halloween-themed events this year offering opportunities for all residents to participate!

On Thursday, October 28th, we will be hosting our 7th annual children’s Halloween party at Norz Hill Farm from 3:30-5:30 pm. This event is $10.00 per child and includes a walk through the children's bale maze, hayride to the pumpkin patch and much more! Pre-registration is required on the Parks & Recreation website.

On Saturday, October 30th, starting at 8:30 am, the annual dog "Howl-O-Ween" Parade and Costume Contest will take place at Ann Van Middlesworth Park. During this event families and pets will be able to gather in the dog park while our Hillsborough Girl Scouts rank the costumes and select prize winners such as best costume, best group costume and more!  All prizes are donated from local businesses and this is sure to be a great event!  No pre-registration required!

Returning this year is our Trunk or Treat at the Willow Road Complex!  This is an excellent option for young trick or treaters.  The Trunk or Treat will take place on Saturday, October 30th, from 1:30-2:30PM.  Families can provide a decorated "Trunk/Vehicle" as well as candy to hand out to the Trunk or Treaters.  Pre-Registration is required and there is no cost to participate.  Trunk or Treaters will also be able to vote for the "Best Trunk Award" so get creative.
