Halloween's Spooktactular Event Round Up

The Recreation Department had no shortage of Spooktacular Halloween Fun. They kicked off the Halloween festivities on Thursday, October 28th with their annual children’s Halloween party at Norz Hill Farm.

Children enjoyed hayrides, pumpkin and gourd picking, a walk through the corn maze, and a FREE slice of pizza from Bella Pizza. Roughly 150 children dressed up in costume and enjoyed the Halloween fun while collecting treats from the Police Department, Fire Safety, Flagtown Fire House #36 and the Recreation Department.

The winner for the “Guess Howl Many” Candy Corn contest, with a guess of 600 was Sarah Landers, there were 611 pieces in the jar. Congratulations Sarah! Sarah was presented with all the candy corn, a certificate, and 2 tickets to Norz Hill Farm’s Holiday Lights Tour.

The Rec department continued the fun on Saturday with their second annual Trunk or Treat Event at the Willow Road Complex. Over 150 children visited 50 trunks from both residents and Township Departments as well as partners such as BoroSafe and the Hillsborough Municipal Alliance. Even the Batmobile showed up!

Kids took photos with a special sign donated by Card My Yard in Hillsborough. The winning trunk, as voted on by the children, belonged to The Serwedes Family. They will receive a certificate as well as a gift card donated by Weis. Congratulations Serwedes Family!
