Holiday Fun with the Recreation Department

The Recreation Department is announcing fun holiday programs that everyone can enjoy!

Tree Lighting Ceremony

Hillsborough Township will kick off the holiday season on Friday, December 3rd, with the annual lighting of the Township Christmas tree. The festivities begin at 6 pm, so come see your favorite holiday characters, enjoy hot cocoa & cookies (while supplies last) & watch Santa light the tree. Santa will arrive shortly after 7 PM.

Menorah Lighting Ceremony

Also on December 3rd at 7 pm is the 2021 Shabbat Chanukah service and Township Menorah lighting at Temple Beth-El. This will take place in the sanctuary or via zoom. Don't forget to have your family’s favorite Menorah and seven candles ready!

Santa's Mailbox

Santa's Mailbox is back! Beginning on Monday, November 22nd, and each night leading up to Christmas, Santa's elves will collect the letters. There are sample letters next to the mailbox, or you can print them from the Hillsborough Recreation Department website. Do you want Santa to write you back? Make sure your letter is in his mailbox by Friday, December 10th and you'll receive a response from Santa himself! No postage is necessary!

Donations can be brought to the Tree Lighting event on Friday, December 3rd or they can be placed in the donation box that will be located in the hallway leading to the library.
