Leaf and Winter Cleanup Updates from DPW

The Public Works Department is currently engaged in the “second pass” of the leaf collection program.

Public Works often gets phone calls asking whether it's time to put the leaves out at the edge of the property.  At this stage of the program please have all leaves raked and ready for pick up.  We are often ahead of schedule in certain parts of the town and if you are timing cleaning up the leaves with our posted schedule, you may actually miss the pickup.  If the weather works with us we anticipate finishing the program by the new year.

Also please take advantage of the leaf drop-off site on Auten Road.  This is the perfect opportunity to get rid of your leaves if you would like to clean up your yard sooner.

Finally, winter is here and we are asking residents to help us make the clean-up of every snowfall a successful one.  As a guideline, if there is snow on the roadway please remove all vehicles and any other obstructions such as trash cans, basketball hoops, recycling, etc.  These obstacles cause the quality of the work to be sub-par and cause the process to take longer to complete.   Please visit the Public Works page on the township website for more important information on our winter operations.
