Amsterdam Drive Repaving Update

The Engineering Department would like to remind residents that the repaving of Amsterdam Drive Phase 1 (between Millstone River Road and Vliet Drive) will start as soon as the warm weather allows but should be no later than May. 

Phase 2 of Amsterdam Drive (between Vliet Drive and Murphy Drive) is in the process of preparing plans and specs by the Engineering consultant which must then be sent to NJDOT for approval. Once approved, it will need to go out to bid to find a contractor. The Engineering Department anticipates active construction of Phase 2 will not take place until the fall of this year.

The final phase, Phase 3 (between Murphy Drive and Amwell Road) will be a 2023 Local Aid Grant application which will be filed this year with construction planned for next year.

Again, it is noted that Phases 1 and 2, and most likely Phase 3, will be mostly funded by NJDOT Local Aid Grants. The Engineering Department actively seeks these grants to help offset the cost of paving our heavily trafficked roads.
