Low Hanging Branches Can Cause Obstacles for School Busses

With school back in session, busses will need to drive on the side roads without obstruction. The Public Works Department is asking Hillsborough residents to review the trees on their property to see if low-hanging branches are causing obstacles to traffic.

The Public Works Department resolves any issues that can potentially cause a safety concern. If necessary, branches will be removed on the road side of the tree only. We suggest that residents address their trees before the Public Works Department has to. Homeowners are required to maintain all trees from the street inward, including all trees planted between the sidewalk and the curb per the township property maintenance ordinance.
