Hillsborough Township Planning & Zoning Department Release Draft Climate Change-Related Hazard Vulnerability Assessment

On Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 7:00 p.m., the Township of Hillsborough Planning Board, will conduct a public hearing in order to review and adopt a Climate Change-Related Hazard Vulnerability Assessment of the Master Plan Land Use Element that analyzes current and future threats to and vulnerabilities to the municipality associated with climate change-related natural hazards, including, but not limited to, increased temperatures, drought, flooding, hurricanes and sea level rise relying on the most recent natural hazard projections and best available science provided by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, as well as other requirements.

This public meeting will be held in the Municipal Courtroom (“meeting room”) at the Hillsborough Township Municipal Complex, located at 379 South Branch Road, Hillsborough, New Jersey. A copy of the 2023 Climate Change-Related Hazard Vulnerability Assessment of the Master Plan Land Use Element is available for inspection in the Planning & Zoning Department at the Township Municipal Complex from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and also available on the Township’s website at https://hillsboroughnj.portal.civicclerk.com/event/922/files/19630 at least ten (10) calendar days in advance of the December 14, 2023 Planning Board meeting.
