February is Heart Health Awareness Month
February is Heart Health Awareness month, the Health Department is holding two blood pressure clinics before and during the senior club meetings on February 1st and 8th from 11 am - 1 pm. At these blood pressure clinics flyers will be distributed with information about the warning signs of a heart attack and tips to keep your heart healthy.
The Health Department would like to remind everyone that not all heart attacks feel the same, some are sudden or symptoms may go away and come back. Always call 9-1-1 if you experience any of the following symptoms
- Chest pain or feeling of being “squeezed”
- A feeling of indigestion or heartburn
- Pain in your jaw, neck, back, arms, shoulders or stomach
- Feeling like you can’t breathe
- Breaking out in a cold sweat or feeling lightheaded
- Feeling sick to your stomach or really tired
