Early Voting for Primary Election Begins May 29th
In-person early voting begins today at the Hillsborough Municipal Building
Hillsborough residents who wish to vote in person but prefer to avoid Election Day lines or having to vote before or after work can take advantage of early voting at the Municipal Building. In-person early voting for the primary election begins on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, and will last until June 2, 2024.
Hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. For those who have received mail-in ballots, there is a convenient drop box outside the main entrance of the Municipal Building where you can submit your ballot until 8 pm on Election Day.
“We are pleased to bring early voting to the Municipal Building once again,” said Mayor Robert Britting. “It’s an opportunity for Hillsborough residents to vote on the day and time that’s convenient for them.” Residents who prefer to vote on primary election day must vote at their district's designated polling location.
Anyone unsure of their polling location or district can look it up using the search tool at the Somerset County Board of Elections website. The official date for the primary election is Tuesday, June, 4th. Polls are open from 6:00 am until 8:00 pm.
