Estimated Third Quarter Taxes

The Estimated 3 rd Quarter Tax amounts are now available online. The tax bills will be mailed out by the first week of July. They will be pink and white, 3.5” x 8.5,” with only the 3 rd quarter amounts and are due August 1st. The final tax bills will be sent in September after the final tax rate is certified.

This third quarter estimated bill reflects the current year assessed value of your property. In order to calculate your tax obligation, DO NOT take the third quarter amount and multiply it by four. That will not give you an accurate total for the taxes billed for the year. Any difference in your total taxes due for the year are applied to the third and fourth quarter billing. To get an accurate amount of the total year taxes you will need to wait until the final tax rate is certified and the 4 th quarter billing is available. It is important to note that the assessed value can increase, decrease, or remain the same based on yearly market values.
