Recreation Department Updates

This summer, Hillsborough Parks and Recreation introduces Camp Care-A-Palooza featuring “Wild and Wacky Wednesdays” and “Feel Good Fridays.” Each Wednesday will feature a different fun theme, while Fridays will focus on acts of kindness to foster a positive atmosphere. "Feel Good Fridays" aims to create a ripple effect of positivity through various kindness initiatives.

On Friday, 6/28, the Recreation Department had two therapy dogs come to camp. Not only did the campers pet the dogs and give them lots of belly rubs, but they also read to them. It was a wonderful way to end the first week!!! Campers also brought in gently used books to donate to The Friends of the Library.

Fishing Derby: Bring your fishing pole, and we’ll provide the bait! Whether your child is a beginner or has some experience, it’s the perfect chance to catch the big one!

Picnic in the Park: Enjoy a delightful dinner with games and activities for all ages! Think classic picnic vibes with a twist of fun!

Summer Movie Under the Stars: As the sun sets, join us for an outdoor screening of Kung Fu Panda 4! Bring your blankets and get comfy under the night sky!
